GetUp Nutrition invited me to reimagine their website as part of a take-home challenge, focusing on creating a more dynamic, brand-aligned homepage experience. The goal was to craft a design that embodied their core message: energy, action, and momentum.

Background

GetUp offers energy-packed snack bites with the slogan:
“A Caffeine Punch in Every Crunch.”

Their 2025 marketing strategy aimed to connect with active, ambitious audiences across seasonal themes.

The Brief

“We’re seeking a fresh design direction for GetUp’s website — one that creates a bold, energetic brand experience that stands out. Please provide an overview, document, or visual sketch that illustrates your proposed approach.”


My Approach

In approaching this redesign, I aimed to retain GetUp’s core identity while elevating the energy, clarity, and emotional pull of the homepage experience.

I focused on:

  • Leveraging GetUp’s signature orange as a strong visual anchor and call-to-action driver.

  • Simplifying iconography and layout for better user clarity and scannability.

  • Designing a punchy above-the-fold experience that immediately communicates brand lifestyle.

The original site leaned toward a more standard e-commerce layout, with less emphasis on lifestyle connection and immediate energy.

The redesign infuses vibrancy, clarity, and emotional momentum — positioning GetUp as not just a product, but a lifestyle choice for driven, high-energy individuals.


Outcome

While GetUp ultimately decided not to move forward with external design support at the time, this project reflects my ability to quickly interpret a brand’s vision, translate strategic marketing goals into intuitive design, and deliver high-quality work on a tight deadline.

I'm proud of the energy and clarity this redesign brings to the GetUp brand — and it stands as a strong example of how I approach high-impact projects with a fast turnaround. Given more time, I would have expanded this into a full-site design system, integrating seasonal campaign pivots and influencer content strategies.
